There are 2 bin areas at Paddington Place Apartments:
1. Outside the Carr Street entrance
2. Inside the Fitzgerald entrance
There are 5 types of bins and they all have different uses. Please familiarise yourselves with each of them:
GREEN Food and organic waste NO plastic or paper bags
YELLOW Recyclables (clean plastic, paper, cardboard, cans, glass)
RED General waste (nappies, plastic bags, polystyrene)
WHITE Containers with 10c mark (more info on Containers for Change Scheme below)
GOOD SAMMYS For quality donations (located in south west corner of the complex)

Containers for Change Scheme
Our complex proudly participates in the Containers for Change Scheme, helping to reduce waste while giving recyclable drink containers a second life instead of sending them to landfill.
Every eligible container helps protect the environment and generates funds that are reinvested directly into projects that benefit our residents.
Thanks to the support of residents, these funds have contributed to improvements including a water fountain, picnic tables, gazebo, and the commissioning of the mural on our Fitzgerald Street boundary wall, creating a more welcoming and attractive space for both residents and the wider neighbourhood.

Verge Collections
The City of Vincent provides a quarterly Verge Valet™ bulk waste collection service for residents. This service allows households to dispose of bulky household items that cannot be placed in regular bins.
Items are to be placed in the designated area on Carr Street.

Dates can be found on the Community Notices page.
No items are to be left in the designated area more than one week before the scheduled collection date.
Accepted Items
The following items can generally be collected:
- Air conditioners
- BBQs (excluding gas bottles)
- Bicycles
- Bulk polystyrene
- Bulky toys
- E-waste (TVs, computers and accessories)
- Timber and steel fencing
- Floor coverings (carpet and linoleum)
- Fridges and freezers (doors removed)
- Garden hoses
- General household junk
- Household furniture (excluding glass items)
- Mattresses and mattress bases
- Scrap metal
- Plant pots
- Small electrical appliances
- Timber (excluding garden waste)
- Whitegoods (doors removed)
- Wire and strapping
